Where did you attend high school? When did you graduate?
I attended Bridgeport High School and graduated in 2008.
What is your favorite memory from HS?
My favorite memories were always our basketball team dinners at each others houses.
What activities or clubs did you participate in?
I played Basketball as well as Track & Field for 4 years, Softball for 3 years, and Volleyball 1 year.
What was one of your achievements in HS?
I hold the record for girl’s discus. My greatest achievement was making it to State in the discus two years in a row.
Where did you attend college? When did you graduate?
I attended Eastern New Mexico University and graduated in 2012.
Did you play basketball?
Yes, I was a dual sport athlete. I received a scholarship for basketball and track.
What is your favorite memory from college?
My favorite memory from college was our Basketball tournament in Puerto Rico over Thanksgiving my freshman year.
What awards and achievements did you have at ENMU?
My senior year I qualified for Nationals in the discus. I also hold the women’s discus and shot put records for my University.
What was your first coaching job?
Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho, New Mexico
What is Your Philosophy as a Basketball Coach?
My philosophy as a coach is to make great athletes while instilling character and having a good time.
What are your best and worst memories in coaching?
Best memories are past players who may have had a few struggles in life, but are thriving now in college and beyond. Also coaching my girls at the State Track meet in New Mexico.
What are your coaching goals here at Marcus?
My goal is to help build a strong program by equipping our younger players with skills and knowledge that will eventually allow them to be an asset at the varsity level.
What are your parents’ names?
My mother is Karen Daugherty. My Dad and Step-Mom are David and Michele Daugherty.
Do you have any siblings?
I have an older brother, Phillip. He was always my role model when it came to athletics.

My husband Richard and I married in 2015. We had our first child on April 13, 2017. Her name is Emily :)
